Reforms 2018

Bills Amendment 2018 -19  

In the process of moving towards a more transparent economy to boost the economy on the principles of self-interest. The year 2018 found many bills passed and implemented by the Parliament to make important changes at the grassroots level. 

Some of these new policy issues are:

1) Reservation economically weaker sections 2018 - 10 percent [central education institutions and Central jobs] [Ministry of empowerment]

2) Fugitive Economic offender's bill 2018 -  

3) PM Kisan scheme providing 6000 per year to the marginalized farmer [2 hectares of land]

4) PM-AASHA scheme for procurement of crops and the Agriculture Export Policy, 2018.

5) Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana was launched to provide annual health insurance cover of up to five lakh rupees per family. 

6) the Right to Education (Second Amendment) Bill, 2017 was passed by Parliament

7) Increasing ethanol supply was approved including revised ethanol prices, mandating 10% blending requirement, and PM-JIVAN Yojana.  

8) The Standing Committee submitted its report on the Code on Wages.  The Ministry of Labour and Employment launched the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-dhan to provide a minimum assured pension to workers in the unorganized sector.

India: Airplane and drone manufacturing in india

India in search of Opportunities: 

World's second largest economy with rising aspiration of young mind for the job. Creating jobs is requires all out efforts to take the challenges of the lacking infrastructure in the country and competition from the already established firms from the developed countries.

Objective: To develop airplane manufacturing industry (Increase employment) and save the precious foreign exchange. 

Proposal: To develop the airplane and drone industry to save 10 Lakhs crore on the imports and encourage domestic industry to manufacture industry. 

Economic lens: Investment in infrastructure will create environment of airplane and drone industry ($ 1 trillion) and billion of dollar for demand for airplane in coming 30 years (6000). Right set of this supply side policy will lead to rise in the production capacity in the coming year (Right shift in long run), Right shift in AD in Short run and Right shift in the LRAS. 



Question: Evaluate the view that the investment in airplane and related industry will lead to a rise in real GDP.

Fiscal policy is the most important tool in the hands of the government which can enhance the aggregate demand in the economy and hence presents a solution to the looming recession (depression). Keynesian school of economic thought has played an interesting role in encouraging the ruling leader of the country to save the economy through a combination of rising public expenditure and reduced tax collection plans which work with the help of Keynesian Multiplier K = I / 1 - MPC.
